FOOD FOR THOUGHT is benefit series supporting neighborhood food distribution
programs as part of Arts Against Hunger, a global initiative of Philip Morris Companies Inc.
Arts Against Hunger aims to increase awareness of, and participation in,
the fight against hunger while building arts audiences.
This benefit performance/canned food drive collects non-perishable items
and presents new works by a range of choreographers.
Description:
A weekend of three performances featuring new work by emerging and established choreographers.
Usually in the fall and spring of each presenting season, these showcases are curated by
individuals on the Danspace Project Artist Advisory Board or members of the staff.
How to apply:
If you are interested in this series, please send a one-page proposal letter stating your
interest in FOOD FOR THOUGHT with a brief description of your work. A video may be requested
at a later date. These requests are kept on file for a year. There is no deadline.
