PLATFORM 2010: Back to New York City

Choreographer Juliette Mapp has invited seven artists with deep ties to New York City to present work as part of Danspace Project's PLATFORMS 2010 series. Six artists have been commissioned to create new work including the inimitable Deborah Hay, extraordinary artists Shelley Senter and David Thomson, multi-media artist Paige Martin and emerging dance makers Katy Pyle and Jen Rosenblit. Also presented will be a rare evening of Intermedia performances created by Elaine Summers, an innovator in film, media and dance. A catalogue, with text by Mapp and participating artists, entitled PLATFORM 2010: Back to New York City, will be published by Danspace Project. Danspace Project is honored to partner with East Village neighbors The Cooper Union and New Museum to present historically significant talks with Platform artists
