photo by Jakub Wittchen Recognized throughout Europe for its intellectually rebellious flare, Poland's Dada von Bzdülöw Theatre brings its quirky, irreverent dance theater work to New York. Factor T. is inspired by Polish novelist, philosopher, and poet Stefan Themerson's theory of the eternal tragedy, which he referred to as "factor t." With a genre-defying movement style that reflects the co-founders' backgrounds in contemporary dance, pantomime, and theater, Factor T. is a hilarious, high-energy psychological deconstruction of the performer and his indispensable ego.

The work features choreography and dance by Leszek Bzdyl, Katarzyna Chmielewska, Bethany Formica, and Rafal Dziemidok; music by Mikolaj Trzaska; set design and costumes by Hiroshi Iwasaki; direction by ; and original lighting design by Michal Kolodziej (adapted by Carol Mullins).

" … an original, ironic and humorous performance -- and a far cry from dance theatre as we know it. "
Gazeta Wyborcza (Poland)
