For nearly 35 years, Danspace has fended for the creative and the curious. Artists and patrons alike see us as an engine that can stimulate their curiosity and intellect and give them a glimpse into the future of art. We are more than a dance space, we are a community. We provide a setting for choreographers to take risks and for the public to engage in and be transformed by the work of these artists. We are proud to include Lucinda Childs, Douglas Dunn, Bill T. Jones, David Rousseve, Eiko & Koma, David Gordon, Bebe Miller, and Meredith Monk as some of our alumni, many of whom still use our space to develop and show new work.
